2005, milestone 1
A start of four
Albatros is founded and begins operating in Azerbaijan, starting in a small office with four people.
2005, milestone 2
A first partner
Abbott becomes Albatros's first strategic partner. The relationship begins with diagnostics and diabetes care — and becomes the foundation the rest of the work is built on.
Early years, milestone 3
First systems in service
Abbott AXSYM systems go into service at the National Oncology Center and the Euromed laboratory — among the first installations Albatros stands behind.
2011, milestone 4
A national programme
Abbott ARCHITECT systems are deployed nationwide in the HIV/AIDS laboratory modernization, delivered with the Ministry of Health and the Global Fund.
2018, milestone 5
A hospital track system
The first Abbott laboratory track system in Azerbaijan is implemented at the opening of Bona Dea International Hospital.
2021, milestone 6
A national screening programme
In 2021, Albatros supports Azerbaijan's nationwide newborn screening programme with PerkinElmer technology.

The Republican Blood Bank
Alinity s technology is installed at the Republican Blood Bank — the first of its kind in the region — supporting blood-screening and transfusion diagnostics.
2025, milestone 8
The Republican Pediatric Center
The Republican Pediatric Center marks the first Alinity ci and Alinity c implementation in Azerbaijan, alongside the first Indexor sample-reception system.

Two decades on
The same commitments — representation, service, and continuity — still guide the work, now across two decades of relationships.
Why “Albatros”
The name comes from the albatross — the seabird sailors once read as a sign that land was near.
It stands for direction and endurance. Albatros stays with the healthcare institutions it serves long after they arrive — through the technical service and continuity that keep a laboratory or hospital running.
